Truth & Video Games
I must admit, I play (well, have played) my fair share of video games over the years. In the past, many were sports games where I would whip up on the Oakland Raiders with my Dallas Cowboys. Or the occasional struggle to stop Larry Bird's 3-point rainbows with my Dr. J's physical skills.
There were even times when I dug deeper into the games character and shot up a whole host of folks or beat other characters to a pulp with swords or whatever weapon of choice I may have had at the time.
The funny thing is, I never took the game out into the real world. Which is a good thing. After playing Mario Kart on the Nintendo DS, I would be out there dropping bombs or sending guided missile like turtle shells at many deserving fellow drivers on the road just because they cut me off.
Where is this all heading? To a friend and co-worker's new site and blog. Chris and Ted are game enthusiasts and parents who are tired of hearing of all the ills about video games and what it does or does not do.
They will tell you like it is, what it's about and what you can make of it. If you are a parent and are wondering about the different games, systems and additional accessories available, (not to mention the truth about video games and the connections to real life), stop on by http://www.gameapparent.com/ see what it's really like.
