Grass Takes Time To Grow
This past week or so, we have been attempting to get the bare spots in the yard to actually show some growth of grass.
It's taken time and patience. I had cut the spots in the yard which were quite healthy and tall a couple of weeks ago. But now, in an effort to not mess up greatness and hope, I have held back from cutting anything in hopes of seeing new greenery popping up from where it once was years ago.
Like so much, it takes time. Write your own cliches about this topic here.___________________________________________________.
It's been almost two weeks, and there are signs that what we had been doing AND NOT doing may be paying off. There are tiny blades of grass fighting their way through the ground.
So what does all of this have to do with the whole "In Search of Ourselves" thing? I'm not real sure. I do believe there is something in all of this however. Maybe we've been struggling and getting "nowhere" for so long and feel like changing course. Maybe we get word that rain is going to come and we can stop watering it so much and let nature do the work (then no rain, that was today). What can I say, things happen to get us down all of the time.
But keep at it. Sure, maybe we could adjust a little bit some of the things we are doing. We could stop doing a few other things that are not working out or moving us forward. Or we just have to do a lot more of something just in case it is doing the most good for ourselves.
Now It's Your Turn...
What are you working on, but seemingly getting nowhere? What once upon a time started to show some promise, but you stopped what you were doing thinking it was all going to take care of itself from then on?
